My New Office.

So I have not been great about keeping this blog up to date... With all my weddings this summer, things got really crazy.  I promise to all my faithful followers, that I will be much better about keeping this blog up and running... In the next week I plan on posting a lot of my summer weddings.  Hopefully my new office will help me keep everyone up to date with what is going on here at Treebird Photography.   This is a really dorky video, but I am pretty excited about my new office.

Marriana and Brandon: Engagement Preview

I will not be finished editing this engagement session till tommorrow, but since this is seriously one of the funnest couples I have worked with ( and it shows in their photos) I thought I would throw up a little preview of some of their engagements.

Film Time: The happiest place on earth

This Last week our family embarked on a little vacation. As a professional photographer I shoot so much digital these days, mainly because I need to make sure things are working as I shoot them and the turn around is much quicker. So when I am on vacation, I also like to take a vacation from digital and use film and older cameras. For these I used a Praktica IV F8. There is something very magical about shooting the happiest place on earth on film. These are a few of my favorite from the trip.

Winter Wedding Time.

Even though winter in Utah is so COLD, it is also an undeniably beautiful time of the year to get married. The crisp (a nice way of saying cold) air, all the pure white snow, and the long holiday breaks with family make for a great season. This couple were real troopers. Instead of doing just your traditional Bridals, she made her fiance come along for the cold ride ( hey its only fair in 20 degree weather right?) We headed to Memory Grove in Salt Lake City, and I think we got some great shots.... If you ask me, you can't even tell how stinking cold it was.

P.S. I realize I am really behind on my blog. The holiday season hit me hard... any way in the next week or so I will be catching up, and loading lots of photos. So keep coming back!

Allegra Bel and Ryan Engagements

Fall Engagements,

With the weather turning so cold so quickly, I was really worried we were not going to be able to get any fall colors, but everything came together at the last minute. Warm Weather, Check. Beautiful fall foliage, Check, and most importantly, a great couple, check. Heres a little sample of Allegra Bel and Ryan's Engagement shots

The art of Candid

I love being a photographer. I love working with couples and coming up with unique shots on their wedding day. However I think my favorite part of weddings is just the fantastic mood that makes for photography heaven, and makes my job so rewarding. Here's a little compilation of some candid wedding photographs. I love when everything just comes together on it's own and I just happen to be there to capture the moment.
